Muhsin Muhammad is one of the most accomplished wide receivers in Michigan State history. As a Spartan, Muhammad emerged as a dominant offensive weapon in the mid-1990s, using his size, strength, and playmaking ability to become one of the program’s top receivers and set the stage for his professional success. Selected in the second round of the 1996 NFL Draft, he went on to star with the Carolina Panthers, earning two Pro Bowl selections and First-Team All-Pro honors in 2004 after leading the league in receiving yards, and later contributed as a veteran leader for the Chicago Bears. He finished his NFL career with over 11,000 receiving yards and a reputation as one of the league’s most physical and reliable receivers. After football, Muhammad successfully transitioned into business as a founding partner of Axum Capital Partners, where he focuses on investment and development initiatives, while also remaining active in community leadership, mentorship, and youth development, extending his impact well beyond the game.
